Hi - I notice you have me on your blogroll, and I'm very flattered. My daughter Holly is the editor of Flavour Magazine, which is also based in Bristol. Do you know the magazine? I do some writing for it as well, and also know Elisabeth of Real Food Lover fame,.
In fact, I am hoping to see her this week, as I'm inBristol from tomorrow. Small world eh?
By the way, your blog is fab too

My 6-year-old just walked in and said, "What's that? A squash? It looks like a really weird lemon!" Fab idea to fill it with risotto. I've done the same with acorn squash halves and I love the presentation.

Sweet potato wedges are a huge and much-requested favorite around here. My little girls do love them, so your children theory is spot on. My favorite seasoning involves cumin and sweet smoked paprika, too, plus a bit of dried oregano and sometimes a smidge of ground coriander. And then, as if that weren't enough, we dip them in a blend of spicy ketchup and mayo.

By the way, I tagged you for a game.

I'm obsessed with Spanish cooking right now. Have yet to actually try it in Spain (alas!) but I will get there one of these days. For now, at least I have access to good cookbooks. Garlic shrimp is a favorite around here, too (always with crusty bread!), and I have plans to tackle a real tortilla espanola. Yum!

Found your site searching the web for savoy cabbage! I really like the way you've come up with two ways to use the large cabbage. I'm always trying to find recipes to use up leftovers in a creative way - not just reheating the first dish for a second go-around. It's not that easy, actually, so your 2 recipes here give me some inspiration. Thanks.

Great choice of books here - I have every single one of these except Ching's! I must admit I haven't made all that much from the Moro book, but Nigel, Bill and Ottolenghi are some of my favourites and have all been put to work very regularly in our kitchen
