My name is Claire, I am a trainee journalist on a local paper in Gloucestershire, but I live n
ear Bristol with my boyfriend Will, who is the other person behind Food4two. Basically I cook the food and he eats it. It seems to work pretty well and to say thanks he always does the washing up; even when I have used three pans, a baking tray and five mixing bowls.
I am just starting my exploration into food and cooking at the age of 22. I would love to eventually get into food journalism and perhaps one day write a cookery book.
I find that most recipes are created for a family of four, or even six, and this poses problems for single people and couples because sometimes quantities are not always easy to divide. My recipes are devised for two people – albeit two very hungry, greedy people. We enjoy food and flavours from all over the world; particularly Indian, Chinese, Moroccan, Italian and Spanish food. Whatever it is it is usually simple, hearty food.
I obsessively read cookery/recipe books and I am thinking of setting up a little page reviewing the books I read. Will and I also love to eat out and find ourselves rating everything out of ten when we go out; menu, atmosphere, food ect.
I can’t remember the last time I ate a ready meal and I hope I never have to eat one again. Nothing beats home cooking and I think that everyone – no matter what age – should be able to cook a delicious meal for themselves (and their partner).

I think a cookery book designed for two people is a brilliant idea. And having a blog is a great way to build up your material! Keep on cookin’ and eatin’ and bloggin’ (and washing up!).

Hi – I notice you have me on your blogroll, and I’m very flattered. My daughter Holly is the editor of Flavour Magazine, which is also based in Bristol. Do you know the magazine? I do some writing for it as well, and also know Elisabeth of Real Food Lover fame,.
In fact, I am hoping to see her this week, as I’m inBristol from tomorrow. Small world eh?
By the way, your blog is fab too
